The Monaghan 10 & 5 Miler continues to enjoy great success following a super turn out last Sunday. Athletic clubs both locally and nationally were represented by over 600 athletes taking part on the day. Hosted by the members of Monaghan Town Runners, the race passed through Monahgan and out to Ballinode village with the finish line at Coral Leisure Centre. A YOUNG Armagh man who bit a pub doorman’s finger, during an incident that occurred in Monaghan town after he was refused admission to the premises, had the charges against him dismissed under the Probation Act at Monaghan District Court last week. Judge Denis McLoughlin made his ruling upon having it confirmed that the 22-year-old had paid compensation and stayed out of trouble in the meantime.
