MAN ARRESTED IN NORTH AFTER DRIVING THROUGH GARDA COVID-19 CHECKPOINT

A man who drove through a Garda checkpoint in operation at Moybridge on Tuesday in relation to the enforcement of Covid- 19 restrictions was subsequently arrested by the PSNI. The 54-year-old was detained a short distance on the Northern side of the checkpoint on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
