Padraic Smyth, Manager of Cavan Monaghan Transport Coordination Unit CLG (CMTCU) met with members of Ballybay- Clones Municipal District at their July meeting and explained that the Rural Transport Programme was being rebranded as Local Link Cavan and Monaghan. Monaghan company Mullan Lighting, a leading designer and manufacturer of light fixtures, has secured a major contract in Dubai that is close to completion. The contract sees the company manufacture 1,500 custom-made outdoor light fittings at La Mer, a landmark beachfront development currently under construction in the city of Dubai. Established in 2008 by architect Mike Treanor, Mullan Lighting has grown to employ 45 people in a picturesque north Monaghan village.
