Michael Fisher Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating a farm accident in Threemilehouse in which a man died. Owen (Ownie) Thornton from Crumlin was in his early 70s. It’s understood he fell into a slurry pit on a farm shortly after 3pm on Tuesday. He was pulled out a short time later but was pronounced dead at the scene.
