Exploration and development company Conroy Gold last week announced further positive sampling results from a section of the Longford- Down Massif, which includes the location at Clontibret, Co Monaghan where Conroy is proposing to establish its first gold mine. Conroy Gold and Natural Resources announced this week that it is pursuing a joint venture with Turkish mining company Demir to develop its gold exploration project in the Border region, including its prospect at Clontibret in Co Monaghan. Conroy Gold And Natural Resources Plc is to “materially increase” the drilling meterage at its gold deposit site in Clontibret, Co Monaghan following what the company has described as “recent positive drilling results”. Earlier this year, the company announced the discovery of additional extensive gold zones at Clontibret, reporting “wide mineralised intersectors and grades of up to 24 g/t gold”.
