SIX POTENTIAL ROUTES DRAWN UP FOR CLONTIBRET TO BORDER N2 ROAD SCHEME
SECOND ROUND OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION HELD IN MONAGHAN

As Monaghan County Council’s largest ever civil engineering project progresses, plans went on display in Monaghan this week for six possible new routes for the N2 Clontibret to the Border national road scheme. Only one will be selected following the latest round of public consultation. A second related project covering a 32km section of the N2 from Ardee to Castleblayney is progressing simultaneously and consultation will be held in a fortnight’s time in both towns as well as Carrickmacross.
Monaghan County Council is working in association with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) to upgrade a 28km section of the N2/A5 Dublin to Derry Road between Clontibret and the Co. Tyrone border to the south east of Aughnacloy.
