MONAGHAN TOWN RUNNERS Pictured are 22 of the 40 Monaghan town runners who are training hard for this years Dublin City marathon. This is the 40th year of the marathon and in to mark this occasion Monaghan town runners have decided to get 40 runners to take on the 26.2 mile challenge. They also hope to raise some funds for local suicide prevention charity SOSAD. Please support these local athletes and give them a few euros as they fundraise in the coming weeks. Peter Hughes The next phase of development of the Ulster Canal Greenway, which will link Smithboro in Co Monaghan to Middletown in Co Armagh, was planned to be completed and open by the end of 2020, Project Manager Anthony Morrow told the September meeting of Monaghan Co Council.
