Monaghan teams thrived at the All-Ireland 7s in Naomh Mearnóg and Kilmacud Crokes last weekend. Emyvale, O’Neill Shamrocks and Castleblayney U-14s all brought All-Ireland titles home to top off an historic weekend for Ladies Football, which saw another record attendance at Sunday’s finals triple-header at Croke Park. Emyvale claimed their third All-Ireland Senior Sevens Ladies Football Championship title following a hectic day of action at Naomh Mearnóg and St. Sylvester’s GAA Clubs in Dublin on Saturday. The north-Monaghan club delivered their first All-Ireland Sevens success since 2015, following a 10-6 to 1-10 final win over The Banner from Clare, who had collected the previous two titles, beating Emyvale in last year’s final.
