MINISTER HUMPHREYS FLIES THE FLAG FOR MONAGHAN ON TRADE MISSION TO NASHVILLE AND NEW YORK

Heather Humphreys, Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, and Fine Gael TD for Cavan/Monaghan, met two key Monaghan companies on a trade mission to Nashville and New York this week. She also took the opportunity to explore the cultural links between Ulster and Tennessee. Minister Humphreys said: “I was delighted to put Monaghan companies at the centre of my trade mission to Nashville and New York this week. “The purpose of the trade mission was twofold – to showcase and support Irish companies exporting into the US and to promote Ireland as a place to invest for US companies. “Monaghan companies are already making a significant impact on the US economy but I want to see that footprint growing even further. “Market diversification has never been more important with Brexit on the horizon. The border region is particularly impacted by Brexit, so I want to ensure that we are doing everything we can to support our local companies..
