Róisín Dick from Monaghan has been selected from amongst hundreds of youth volunteers from across the island of Ireland to receive an award in recognition of the exemplary work she carries out in her local community at the 2015 Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards. The sun shone beautifully last Thursday as members of the local community and local community groups gathered in the spring sunshine to plant a living willow fence for the children of Teach na bPaiste at Teach na nDaoine, Oriel Way, Monaghan Town. The project was a joint venture between the staff of Teach na bPaiste and members of Mullaghmatt/Cortolvin community garden. Monaghan is back in its rightful place of leadership with the opening of a new Education Campus and the jobs announcement by Combilift, according to An Taoiseach Enda Kenny T.D.
