The IDA is currently positively engaged in discussions with an Enterprise Ireland company about the use of the 1,400 square metre Advance Technology Building at the Knockaconny industrial park on the outskirts of Monaghan Town. This was disclosed by Minister of State Hildegarde Naughton TD when the issue was raised with her in Seanad Éireann last week by Monaghan Senator Robbie Gallagher. Fragments of human remains have been located at a site being investigated in Annyalla Cemetery in Co Monaghan as part of a search being conducted by the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims’ Remains, which is seeking to locate the bodies of those “disappeared” during the Northern Ireland Troubles.
