It was confirmed at Monday’s meeting of Monaghan Co Council that the local authority will meet with the Chief Executive of EirGrid, Mark Foley, at its monthly meeting on Monday April 6. Mr Foley has requested to meet with the Co Council to discuss EirGrid’s recently published Group Company Strategy, but the engagement is likely to focus predominantly on the controversial northsouth electricity interconnector project.
