Monaghan GAA ‘shave or dye’ to support charities COLM SHALVEY The Monaghan GAA senior footballers and management have decided to shave or dye their hair in aid of two very worthy charities, with Drew Wylie’s ‘lockdown look’ grabbing the headlines this week! NUTTS WALK/RUN OVER 1600KM BUT STAY WITHIN 5KM OF HOME
In glorious sunshine last Sunday morning 134 members of the Monaghan Walkernutts/Joggernutts group along with some friends from Monaghan Phoenix ran/walked a combined total of 1691.5km while adhering to the Government’s rules on staying within 5km of home. This was 567km more than the group ran/walked on their May Day challenge at the start of the month. RARE TRIPLET CALVES BIRTH ON TYHOLLAND FARM
The birth of triplet bull calves on a farm in Tyholland in Co Monaghan is being hailed as an extremely rare happening in Irish agricultural circles. The Simmental triplets were born on the farm of Owen McNally in April.
