On a breezy, wet but mild 2014 New Years Day 588 people registered and took part in the Emyvale Fun Run but the total number on the circuit was likely more as some just joined in, made a donation or had children along, which were not registered. A WATER METER company director based in Crossmaglen has been charged in relation to an alleged €9 million diesel-laundering operation at Corragarry, Castleblayney in September 2011.
