The annual Convention offers a chance to look back at the year gone by and look forward to next year. On the playing front, this year saw the ...

Instead of pulling the curtains down on 2010 after making Monaghan’s top table, Doohamlet and Corduff’s finest have made little of winter’s vast grey curtains of rain and wind to terrorise opponents in Ulster. Treble delight for Inniskeen

COLM SHALVEY reports Inniskeen’s dream year continued when they completed a clean sweep of the Monaghan senior hurling titles with a three-point win over Truagh in the Reserve Hurling League Final at Sarsfield Park, Aughnamullen last Sunday. Provincial titles in sight for duo
By KEVIN CARNEY Ballybofey may have proven a killing ground last Sunday for Clontibret’s Ulster club SFC ambitions but Doohamlet and Corduff press on. They say two out of three ain’t bad and the success achieved by the O’Neills and the Gaels in their provincial intermediate and junior sorties last weekend has again left at least a sizeable part of the county heavily pregnant with expectation. This year’s IFC and JFC winners have both located enough freedom outside of the confines of the county for their supporters to start sniping glances ...

Pundits, bar none, had pencilled in the Antrim champions for an All-Ireland JHC semi-final tilt with the best from the west down the line.It was thus no surprise that the St Brigid’s crew from the home of Ulster hurling travelled the relatively short distance to Casement Park with all the swagger of Goliath. Inniskeen, the script had ordained, would put ...
