IT WAS with great regret that the Northern Standard learned of the death of the much beloved Canon Gerard Ferguson, PE, Parochial House, Rockcorry, who passed away at Cavan General Hospital following a short illness. Canon Ferguson, who was 88, had been in deteriorating health in recent years, but sought to participate occasionally at Masses and other events up until relatively recently.
