Co Monaghan had much to celebrate when the results of the 2021 national Tidy Towns competition were announced by Cavan/Monaghan TD and Government Minister Heather Humphreys on Monday last. DATES ANNOUNCED FOR FREE CHRISTMAS PARKING IN MONAGHAN TOWN

There will be free Christmas parking in Monaghan Town from Monday December 12 until Sunday January 2, it was announced at Monday’s meeting of the Monaghan Municipal District. A statement of gratitude was issued by businessman Kevin Lunney on Monday last following the handing down of verdicts in the case before the Special Criminal Court in Dublin arising from his abduction and torture in September of 2019.
