Michael Fisher The latest adjusted figures for Covid cases show that the incidence rate in County Monaghan per 100,000 population over fourteen days shows a small change but the county remains in the middle of the national table. The statistics released on Tuesday by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show that the rate in the past fortnight up until midnight on Monday was 1168, compared to a figure of 1010 reported last week. IFA President Tim Cullinan has called for enhanced co-operation at statutory and farmer level in the Border region to prevent an avian influenza outbreak in the approach to the Christmas period.
