COUNTY COUNCIL GETS€1.3 MILLION IN HOUSING ADAPTATION GRANTS
Monaghan Co Council has been allocated €1,303,725 to spend on Housing Adaption Grants in 2022. The funding is for a suite of measures which supporting older people and people with a disability to live independently. Monaghan Co Council is regarded as one of the most efficient local authorities in the country in the use of funding in this area. GARDAÍ CARRY OUT DRUG RAIDS IN MONAGHAN AND NEWBLISS
A man in his late 20s was arrested following search operations carried out by the Gardaí in Monaghan Town and Newbliss this week to clamp down on the sale and supply of illegal drugs. Carried out under Operation Tara, the searches led to the seizure of a quantity of illegal drugs and assorted drugs paraphernalia. The person arrested was questioned at Monaghan Garda Station. A file on the matter is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
