Monaghan County Council unanimously agreed to call on Minister Michael Creed and An Taoiseach to suspend all funding to An Bord na Gcon, the Irish Greyhound Board until there is a full investigation into all the facts around the recent RTE programme which showed serious abuse to animals in the Greyhound industry. On July 4th a group of Men from County Monaghan Men’s sheds participated in a Cross Border Networking Tour organised by Monaghan Integrated Development as part of the PEACE IV TEAM project. Funding for this event was provided under the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme managed by the Special EU Programme Body (SEUPB). The tour bus left Monaghan Men’s shed and headed to Antrim Men’s Shed in Steeple Rd, Antrim.
