Conroy Gold & Natural Resources, the company carrying out studies potential gold mining in the Clontibret area, announced last week that a study has increased the estimate of gold at its project in Monaghan. A study prepared by Tetra Tech Wardrop Engineering has increased the resource estimate to 600,000 ounces of gold, while the estimated life of the mine has been increased to 11.2 years. Gardai investigating a fatal hit and run traffic collision are making a further appeal for the public’s assistance. The collision occurred on a minor road between Drumnart and Lemgare, Clontibret Co Monaghan in the early hours of Sunday, June 26. Conroy Gold and Natural Resources has confirmed this week that it intends to open a conventional open-pit goldmine at its Clontibret site. Announcing more “good news” from its gold drilling programme in Monaghan, the company said drilling was completed at a further two holes, and that there had been more “positive results”.
