The Monaghan GAA Perpetual Golf Classic, sponsored for a second year by McAree Engineering, Ballinode, was held in Rossmore Golf Course last Saturday. 70 teams took part and over 100 businesses and individuals sponsored tees and greens, raising money for the county senior footballers in their preparations for the June 21 Ulster semi-final against Fermanagh. Several of the Monaghan players took part, including Conor McManus, Dessie Mone, Dick Clerkin, Drew Wylie and Stephen Gollogly.
