A 30-year-old Polish national resident in Castleblayney has become Ireland’s first recipient of a combined heart and liver transplant. SUSPECTED CANNABIS GROWHOUSE DISCOVERED IN MONAGHAN TOWN
A man in his 20s has been arrested and charged following the discovery of a suspected cannabis growhouse in Monaghan Town on Sunday last. The discovery was made by Gardaí during a search of property in the town. A growing facility was found constructed within the building containing a large quantity of suspected cannabis plants. Garda investigations are continuing. The man arrested is due to appear in court.
