He will replace Cllr Eva Humphreys who resigned last month, citing work commitments. SADNESS at the tragic death of Republic of Ireland fan David Clerkin in Copenhagen at the weekend was shared by many people in Monaghan along with people in his native Co Louth and throughout the country. It’s understood that Mr Clerkin, who came from the Beamore area of Drogheda, had close family connections in the Monaghan town area.
