Co Monaghan remains among the Irish counties experiencing higher levels of bovine TB as herd incidence of the disease reaches a point not experienced since 2012, the Department of Agriculture stated this week. CO MONAGHAN HOUSE PRICES RISE BY 4%
House prices in Co Monaghan for the third quarter of 2020 were 4% higher than a year previously, the latest Daft.ie House Price Report has revealed. A year ago, house prices in the county had slightly fallen. The average Co Monaghan house price is now €180,000, 58% above its lowest point. A limitation in housing supply is seen as the reason for the price rise. Nationally the average listed price of housing rose by 4.8% between June and September. Photographer Thomas Whyte recently presented proceeds of his lockdown project #smilesformiles to two charities in his locality Shercock CFR Group (First Responders) and Shercock/Killann Cancer Support Group. He visited people’s homes and took family photos in gardens and portraits of their pets too. All that he asked in return was a minimum donation of €20.
