THE CLONES Regeneration Partnership recently welcomed their new employee, Gerry Darby, to Clones Town. Gerry is the new Project Coordinator for the Partnership and is based in the Monaghan County Council’s Clones office, in the Old Bank Building on The Diamond. THE LARGY College Class of 2000 will mark its 10 anniversary reunion by hosting a fundraising disco in aid of the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation on Saturday, August 7th in the Creighton Hotel, Clones. Former students and teachers will come together to reminisce over a buffet style meal followed by the doors opening from 10.30pm to the general public for the disco. CROSS-COMMUNITY co-operation and peace-building in the Co. Monaghan border region received a welcome boost this week with the announcement on Monday that the International Fund for Ireland is to allocate a further €4.9 million to a number of groups, including three in Co. Monaghan with projects at Carrickmacross, Clones, and Truagh. The announcement of this latest funding tranche was made following a meeting of the International Fund body in Sligo.
