Townpeople in Castleblayney were shocked on Thursday morning last by the news that a fire had swept through the 18th century historic Hope Castle building on the scenic Lough Muckno Estate, adjacent to the town, in the early hours of the morning, causing extensive interior damage. Monaghan Hospital gets long-promised CT scanning service
The HSE has this week stated that the long-promised CT scanning service has finally been established in Monaghan Hospital. Local hospital campaigners and political representatives had, for some considerable time now, been calling for the service to be put in place. The HSE said it was pleased to announce that the new CT scanning service has commenced in Monaghan from last Monday, 1st November and will operate two and a half days per week, on an “outpatient, non-urgent” basis.
