The family of Christine Dickson has enjoyed an attendance connection with the school stretching back a remarkable 55 years. Her 13 children and ten of her grandchildren have all been pupils, with son Reginald starting out on the educational pathway there in 1967 and grand-daughter Leah bringing the linkage to a close as she finishes at the school this week. Residents of the Mullaghmatt area of Monaghan Town were left fuming at the weekend following a spate of car damage incidents in their locality. A number of vehicles parked in the estate were maliciously damaged between 9 pm on Saturday evening last and 9 am the following Sunday morning.
