A major fund-raising event is taking place in Monaghan’s Hillgrove Hotel on Friday, March 23 next in support of the Anne Marie Leonard Trust. Transition Year at Beech Hill College in Monaghan Town have been chosen to go forward to the national final of the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture competition. One of the selected designs, entitled ‘Lady Astrid’, was constructed with over 4,000 feathers obtained from the Silver Hill duck farm at Emyvale.
