A group of pupils from Fifth and Sixth classes in Urbleshanny National School in Scotstown have entered a project in the Eco UNESCO Young Environmentalist Awards. Transition Year at Beech Hill College in Monaghan Town have been chosen to go forward to the national final of the Bank of Ireland Junk Kouture competition. One of the selected designs, entitled ‘Lady Astrid’, was constructed with over 4,000 feathers obtained from the Silver Hill duck farm at Emyvale.
