The go ahead was originally given in April 2017 by Monaghan County Council for a new Aldi store at the site known as McNally’s car park. The Abaana New Life Choir will be performing at Monaghan Elim Church, Drumbear, Ballybay Road on Sunday March 17 at 7 pm. The choir is an amazing group of 20 children from Uganda, who light up the stage through song and dance. The children are all aged between 7 and 15 and drawn from across 14 Ugandan Primary Schools built by local charity Abaana. Abaana works with children living in poverty across Uganda. The deterrent of a driving disqualification was a necessary one in order to address the numbers of motorists on Irish roads who were currently uninsured, Judge Denis McLoughlin commented at Monaghan District Court this week.
