Superintendent Tim Burke of Bailieboro Garda Station confirmed to The Northern Standard this week, that the Bank of Ireland branch’s external ATM machine on Kingscourt’s Main Street, had been ripped out of the wall with a digger at around 4am on Sunday morning, March 10th. T

he ATM was removed using a short wheel based light coloured Jeep with a trailer. A number of people were involved in the theft, which took less than 10 minutes. The digger, which was transported on a low loader, was abandoned and thieves made off in the direction of Carrickmacross.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, as it was a night for socialising, there were people around Main Street at that time. If anyone has smartphone video footage, dashcam footage or photographs of the incident, they are asked to get in contact with Gardaí, who are very appreciative of the help they….
