Farmers turned beekeepers on Corracreigh Group Water Scheme (GWS) in County Roscommon are creating a buzz in the community as they spread the word on the danger of pesticides to their honey bees, the local drinking water source and to wider biodiversity. SF TD calls on Government to take control of inspections The ABP meat plant in Clones confirmed to the Northern Standard on Thursday last that 14 further positive Covid-19 cases had been detected following the screening of all 335 staff at the premises. The fledging of three curlew chicks in the Bragan area of North Monaghan has been described as a major advance in the efforts to preserve the endangered bird species. €1.48 MILLION IN ACTIVE TRAVEL AND CLIMATE CHANGE FUNDING FOR MONAGHAN COUNTY COUNCIL
Monaghan Co Council is to receive a total of €1.48 million in funding under the Government’s Active Travel Measures and Climate Change Adaptation Measures schemes, it was announced this week.
