Two men appeared before Monaghan District Court on Monday following a fatal accident in which a 22-year-old man from Scotshouse lost his life on the concession road between Clones and Cavan on Saturday morning. Monaghan Tourism body have joined in welcoming an announcement earlier this week of an allocation of €471,000 in funding for the development of a town cycle lane and walkway facilities for pedestrians in Monaghan town.
