BD Foods closed its base in Glaslough on 14th August. The operation which employed around fifty people is now merged with its parent company, Henderson Foodservice. It was announced in May that, owing to the impact of COVID-19, Henderson Foodservice intended to streamline and centralise its operations in order to strengthen the business for the future. This included the closure of BD Foods in Co. Monaghan along with Foodco operations in Ashbourne, Co. Meath and Lisburn. All BD Foods customers are now serviced from Henderson Foodservice’s Mallusk base in County Antrim, near Belfast.
