GLASLOUGH TIDY TOWNS PRESENTED WITH NATIONAL WASTE PREVENTION AWARD

Louise Duffy, Chairperson of Glaslough Tidy Towns had the honour recently of being presented with a cheque for €1,000 from Ms. Odile Le Bolloch, Environmental Protection Agency and Cathoirleach Monaghan County Council Cllr. Noel Keelan for winning the National Waste Prevention Award in the National Tidy Towns 2015 competition.
  Speaking about the win Ms. Duffy explained that a massive community effort went into all the projects which included, harvesting water from roofs for use on hanging baskets in the village, installation of energy saving equipment in the Community Centre and most impressively the use the waste from local householders in a Upcycled Garden.
