The recent Ardaghey 6k fun/run /walk, family challenge and vintage fashion event raised €5,577.37 for The Holy Family School, Cootehill.

The cheque presentation was made last Wednesday evening to teacher Edel Cunningham and the amount raised far surpassed the expectations of event organisers. Deep gratitude is expressed to

everyone who came out and supported the event and to those who worked so hard with preparations of course and centre, catering, stewarding, entertaining, and modelling.

Thanks are also extended to those who sponsored events and items for the raffle, and to everyone who trusted the organisers with their very special wedding and occasional attire. A debt of gratitude is owed to the Community Centre committee for the free use of all facilities on the day and to the many people who were unable to attend but donated towards the cause. Thanks also to The Northern Standard and Northern Sound Radio for promoting this event.

It is hoped to hold this walk and family event next year on 8th April to once again benefit a deserving charity.
