The Tommy Bowe Challenge 2012 was launched last Monday night at the Four Seasons Hotel.
A great crowd turned out to support the team who will kayak the Shannon Erne waterway from Kilaloe to Monaghan this April.
Tommy Bowe launched the challenge showing his support for the team and the great efforts being made in this fundraiser for the Glaslough Harriers AC. Tommy spoke with great respect for the Harriers as a club and in particular head coach, Noel Kennedy, he spoke of fond memories and friendships that he made during his time as a Harrier and one of the many reasons why he is endorsing the challenge.
The team would like to thank Tommy and his parents, Paul and Anne, for taking the time out of busy schedules to support the challenge. The team and Glaslough Harriers would like to thank Pat Deery who was quite an entertaining MC on the night, the local business who showed their continued support to the cause, to Panic Hire for providing the sound and lighting and finally to Fabian & Murphy Videos for the highly entertaining DVD.
