Monaghan Integrated Development has launched a dedicated phone call service for the elderly, as a direct response to the current Covid- 19 restrictions. This phone call service aims to provide security and friendship to elderly people in Co Monaghan who may live alone or be feeling isolated or vulnerable at this time. A significant number of additional bed spaces are to be provided for asylum seekers in direct provision centres in the coming days, the Department of Justice has said.
