FORMER Clones-based solicitor Paul Madden has been sent forward for trial after pleading guilty to 16 charges of stealing money from clients’ accounts. A former Clones solicitor came before Monaghan District Court on Monday on 16 charges relating to offences under the Criminal Justice Theft and Fraud Offences Act. Forty-nine-year-old Paul Madden, The Diamond, Clones was remanded until the February 1 sittings of the court for further mention of his case.
