HAVE YOU HERD? EAR TO THE GROUND PRESENTER LAUNCHES 72ND TYDAVNET AGRICULTURAL SHOW!

Accomplished broadcaster and journalist Darragh McCullough of Ear to the Ground fame was the keynote speaker at the launch event for the 72nd Tydavnet Parish Show in the village of the same name’s community centre on Wednesday evening last, after we went to press. The broadcast and print journalist began: “It goes without saying that I’m delighted and honoured to be here to help launch Tydavnet Show, ” he said, confessing that he hadn’t been to the village before, but remembered grabbing a sandwich from the shop in Scotstown during filming once! He said that he really enjoyed the drive down and actually getting to see the countryside in daylight, with nature bursting into life, because when he’s filming Ear to the Ground he goes to work and comes home in the dark. “Our agricultural shows celebrate that abundance of nature.
