SPRYT WILL FLY COUNTY MONAGHAN FLAG AT NATIONAL ENTERPRISE AWARDS

Co Monaghan will be represented in this year’s National Enterprise Awards by the Monaghan-Town based digital healthcare company Spryt. The business, which has developed an AI-based model to generate efficiencies and cost savings by reducing the number of missed hospital appointments, was announced as the overall winner of the Co Monaghan Enterprise Awards at a ceremony in the Four Seasons Hotel last Friday which concluded a busy programme of Local Enterprise Week actives organised by the Monaghan LEO or Local Enterprise Office and Monaghan Co Council. Spryt also won the Best Product Innovation and Use of Technology award. Brehon Brewhouse were named Exporter of the Year by the judging panel. The Carrrickmacross solar panel company Active8 were winners for Best Climate Initiative and the Emyvale-based company Advanced Manufacturing Solutions were declared Best Start-Up. Cavan/Monaghan TD and Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment Niamh Smyth presented the awards, praising the winners for “demonstrating their potential to make a huge impact on their communities, villages and towns, helping the local economy and creating jobs.” Deputy Smyth, who has been given the brief of Trade Promotion, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation, urged the large attendance of business representatives to explore the potential of AI for generating efficiencies in their…
