COUNTY COUNCIL PLANNING US PROMOTIONAL TRIP FOR ST PATRICK’S DAY

Monaghan Co Council are planning to follow up on the success of last year’s promotional St Patrick’s Day visit to New York with a further trip Stateside this year to coincide with the celebrations of the National Apostle.

Chief Executive Robert Burns told Monday’s meeting of the local authority that the executive were of the view that it would be positive for the Council to continue the tradition of making promotional visits abroad to coincide with the St Patrick’s Day celebrations that had seen a delegation travel to New York last year. Mr Burns said that locations in the US such as Boston and Nashville were being considered for 2025. He suggested that the delegation could consist of himself, the Cathaoirleach and one or two other people and that its duration would be five or six days around the St Patrick’s Day…
