€32M UPGRADE TO CARRICKMACROSS WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT WELCOMED BY O’HANLON
Irish Water’s €32million investment in Carrickmacross Wastewater Treatment Plant, was welcomed this week by the town’s first citizen, Cathaoirleach of Ca r r i c kma c ros s /Ca s t l ebl a yne y Municipal District, Councillor PJ O’Hanlon. Speaking to The Northern Standard this week, the proud Carrickmacross man said: “I want to welcome the very positive news from Irish Water on their plans to invest €32million on the upgrade to the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Carrickmacross. The investment will benefit homes and businesses in Carrickmacross and will ensure waste water from the town is treated appropriately and will serve a population equivalent to 16,000.
