GARDAÍ “ACTIVELYINVESTIGATING” ROSSMORE PARK INCIDENTS

Gardaí have confirmed that they are “actively investigating” complaints of suspicious and threatening activity by a man who has been observed in the area of Rossmore Forest Park in Monaghan Town. A number of alleged incidents involving a male who has confronted walkers in the park have been highlighted on social media in the past week. The Gardaí said that in response to reports they had increased their visible presence in the park through foot and mobile patrols. “We are appealing to the local community and visitors to the park to remain vigilant and to immediately report any suspicious activity or issues of concern by contacting Monaghan Gardaí directly on 047 77240 or 112 / 999,” a Garda spokesperson stated.
