Monaghan Handballer Eoghan McGinnity won the 2024 All-Ireland Men’s Intermediate 4-Wall Singles Championship at the National Handball Centre at Croke Park on Sunday. The Harps man took on Tipperary’s Rory Grace and got off to a strong start, winning a tense opening game 21-16 despite suffering a bruised hand injury. The Tipperary man Grace stormed to a 9-2 lead in the second game, then led 12-3. McGinnity refused to give in though, and eventually led the game 13-12. Now feeling the effects of the injury, McGinnity pushed on and claimed the second game 21-13 to win the title. The Harps man will now go on to join the Senior ranks. Comhghairdeas Eoghan.
