€68,000 IN ARTS:FUNDING ALLOCATED:– BUT FÉILE ORIEL:MISSES OUT

Funding of €68,000 under the 2023 Arts Partnership Grant to six applicants from across the county’s cultural and festival sphere was approved at the April meeting of Monaghan Co Council. The Garage Theatre in Monaghan Town and the Íontas Theatre in Castleblayney will each receive €22,000. €11,000 goes to Clones Film Festival, and there is €6,000 for Féile Patrick Byrne, €4,000 for Castleblayney Drama Festival and €3,000 for Muckno Mania. The allocations were approved on the proposal of Independent councillor Paudge Connolly, seconded by Sinn Féin’s Pat Treanor.
