Senator Robbie Gallagher and Monaghan MD Cathaoirleach, Cllr Raymond Aughey heard Hanley Energy CEO Dennis Nordon confirm that within 12 months it is expected that 150 people will be employed in the former John E Coyle factory in Monaghan Town. Senator Gallagher and Cllr Aughey were given a full guided tour of operations this week to see for themselves the new hub for the company.
Senator Gallagher said, “This is probably the biggest one-off job announcement here in some 30 years or more. It is super announcement for Monaghan Town and the surrounding area. Tribute is due to Hanley Energy and also to the long-established John E Coyle facility and the work of Tony Coyle and his son Killian. It is through the endeavours of the Coyle family that this factory employed many local people over so many years and that the 70,000 square foot facility is now available for this exciting new development.”
“This is a fantastic investment by Hanley Energy, an Irish-owned company who are global innovators in Critical Power and Energy Management Solutions. The company is bringing over 225 new jobs in total to the North-East with a significant expansion of its operations in Ireland, to meet the increasing demand for installation and service of its equipment which serves the growing critical power market and delivers on the high demand for power, connectivity and data. The range of positions that will be created are particularly welcome and will encourage more highly skilled young people to stay and work in Monaghan.”
“This is an Irish company that has become globally recognised and is leading the way in the rapidly growing energy efficiency and management sector. The company is recruiting talent including electrical apprentices, qualified electricians, general operatives, electrical and mechanical design engineers and associated administration staff across health and safety, finance, HR and production. Continued support from Enterprise Ireland has been invaluable in making this expansion possible.”
Hanley Energy has European headquarters in Ireland (County Meath) and also in North America (Ashburn, VA). The company has had sustained growth over the last decade and has developed a world class workforce of over 650 people, of which 25% are skilled engineers.
