SINN FÉIN TO HOST OPEN PUBLIC MEETING IN INNISKEEN

Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald TD will visit Monaghan next week (Tuesday, 29th November) and will address a public meeting in Inniskeen Community Centre at 7.30pm. Local Sinn Féin TDs Matt Carthy and Pauline Tully will also attend. Speaking in advance of the visit, Matt Carthy said: “I am looking forward to welcoming Sinn Féin President Mary Lou McDonald to engage with the people in Monaghan. We are encouraging people to attend our public meeting in Innskeane and I look forward to welcoming people there to have their say. “This is a time of great change.

In a couple of weeks, the government plan to rotate the position of Taoiseach. “Our view is we need a change of government, not just a change of Taoiseach. “Just as they have done for a century, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael intend to pass power between them. This cosy arrangement has delivered nothing but more of the same for workers and families who are crying out loudly for something different.

“Workers and families are now struggling with the most serious cost of living crisis in a generation and are enduring a real sense of worry and uncertainty. “Long before the current crisis hit, they had a government failing to deliver, particularly in the areas of housing and health. “We need a government that can make a real difference in the lives of ordinary….
