MORE FUNDING FOR MONAGHAN RURAL COMMUNITIES AS MINISTER HUMPHREYS ANNOUNCES CLÁR ALLOCATIONS
A number of sports clubs, schools and community groups in Co Monaghan will benefit from allocations under the CLÁR programme announced this week by Minister for Rural and Community Development Heather Humphreys TD. In all, 20 community projects in Minister Humphreys’ Cavan/Monaghan constituency will benefit to the tune of €925,000. The Co Monaghan allocations are as follows: Sean Mc Dermotts GAA Club – €50,000 – Install high LED lighting bollards around the community walking track Rockcorry National School – €48,454 – To create an area outside with a soft surface for playing on, with outdoor equipment and a sensory garden for use by the whole community.
Aghabog GFC – €50,000 – Develop a community gym to promote physical activity, health and well-being for persons of all ages and abilities in a rural community St Michael’s National School, Corcaghan – €50,000 – Installation of an astro-turf pitch for use by the whole community Clones GFC – €50,000 – Install public lights in the car park area of St Tiernach’s Park, Clones and to upgrade the surface of the existing car park Dartrey Forest – – Upgrade of Dartrey car park to allow users to explore Dartrey Forest Park Oram National School – €50,000 – Resurface the school playground and grass area, provision of sensory….
