MALE REMANDED IN CUSTODY FOLLOWING INCIDENT AT CARRICK SERVICE STATION

Gardaí have confirmed that a male was remanded in custody to Cloverhill Prison until July 25th at Monday’s sitting of Carrickmacross District Court in Monaghan Courthouse. The defendant was before the court on charges of criminal damage arising from an incident at Cloughvalley Stores at approximately 5am on Sunday morning. The man was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with a number of criminal damage offences including damaging fuel pumps in the forecourt, the shop front and a vehicle with a teleporter, during the incident. It is understood that a file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for directions on the matter…
